Chapter 1 -

The Early Boom

Before the Afterlife Boom came the Early Boom, the first ever major event in the popularization of RPs that saw an increase in Developmental Games, while also testing out a new game type.
These games, now known as the Proto-Afterlife games, were the first type of RP that would involve you controlling an individual, rather than a country.

These ideas culminated into Afterlife, a game by thecoolkid26 which marks both the end
of the Early Boom and the start of the Afterlife Boom.

Afterlife was an advancement of the 'Proto-Afterlife' games, that had an increased level of complexity. Whereas Proto-Afterlife games would involve you simply navigating through rooms in
a particular building, whether it'd be a school or a dungeon, Afterlife itself would involve you being part of a dystopian world, in harsh, dark conditions, and push for your personal objective. While it did not become more popular than the Proto-Afterlife games
(both received decent amounts of attention), the concepts in Afterlife would be attempted into other games, which begins the Afterlife Boom.
Chapter 2 -

The Boom

While it is a significant event, the Afterlife Boom does stand out in that it is one of the least influential booms in terms of developing genres. While more creators would make their own Afterlife games, there
wasn't really much more you could add to the genre by this point. No revolutionary ideas or notable creators would come out of the Boom.

The important part of the Boom, really, was popularizing the RP genre in general.
It acted as a continuation of the Early Boom's role in spreading the word of RP games, except this time, took the form of purely Afterlife games.

Chapter 3 -

Decline

As no games truly stood out, it is hard to pinpoint when the Afterlife Boom truly ended. The only significant event after Afterlife's formation would be Afterlife's death, in which the game was abandoned.
Around the time of Afterlife's death, the Boom itself was already in decline, so it is safe to say that this was the point where the Boom's fate was decided.

And, in an undefined point, the last game of the Boom died out. And, it was all finally over.
Chapter 4 -

Minor Rebirth

Afterlife 2 would bring some hope back into the Afterlife Boom. Another game by thecoolkid26, it was made shortly before or during Warlords' existence, and grew to be even more popular
than Afterlife 1. A minor resurgence of the Afterlife Boom came, but much more quickly would come to see its death.

This is the point where the Afterlife Boom is undisputably over. Nothing more would happen, and it is unknown if any more Afterlife games in
DiamondFire would even go on to exist.

Chapter 5 -

Legacy

While short lived and devoid of any events, the Afterlife Boom served as an important transition between the Early Boom and the
Early Loria Boom. The Afterlife Boom gave RP games the boost needed to give Echokia and, subsequently, Belloria the popularity they much needed to succeed.

In fact, Belloria was built in the very same plot where Afterlife 1 was.
That's probably the best way to picture it. The Afterlife Boom being the precursor to the Early Loria Boom, the event that changed everything.
