Table of Contents Prelude..................................4 Early Existence...........10 Later Existence...........17 Aftermath..........................27 Chapter 1 - Prelude The very first event to occur in the history of DiamondFire RPs is in an unknown period of time. Kcolyz is a non-ranked player who had a relatively low prescence in DF. He is inspired by other games outside of DiamondFire, and possibly outside of Minecraft altogether, and he has an idea. What if a medieval styled game, where you built your nation from scratch, was made? There were the obvious problems that DF code was limited at the time, and that nobody would dedicate their time to code such a concept. He already had a solution in mind. Code wasn't needed, when he could just manually control the game. He'd never go on to host it, and instead pass the idea on to TheLoyalHorse (TLH). TLH was a well known member of the DiamondFire staff team. He had the popularity to make the plot popular, unlike Kcolyz. As neither of them would join Warlords, nor become close friends with any Warlords player, their specific interactions are unknown. However, all the previous information was previously stated by them and others who have talked to them. So, it was by this point in our story, that TheLoyalHorse would begin making a new game, one that led to where we are today. RP Wars was born. Chapter 2 - Early Existence The game began with at least three people taking their countries. There were a maximum of four countries available, one in each corner. What can be inferred is that one corner was possibly not taken (personal account by thecoolkid26) and that two of the three players were known - TheFoxPlush and poisontrigger. (various sources) The third corner that was taken would go on to have a cycle of different players taking spots, one of which would be well known. Meanwhile, the game progressed. TheFoxPlush would be undisputably the best player (He was a DF staff member who would go on to become a Moderator) for the early phases of RP Wars. He had expanded the most and was also developing the most. poisontrigger would initially be the same, although slower, until some mistakes would lead to his downfall. The third corner would see some relatively quick growth, although not beaten by TheFoxPlush. Then, the fourth corner would be taken by an unknown individual, who had been able to make slow progress, being stuck in the desert and with no trees. This fourth corner would then be taken by thecoolkid26, a future Warlords player who was relatively unknown but best remembered for his Library games. He had already known Kcolyz through his library game, and already was acquainted to TheLoyalHorse. So, he'd join, and would colonize the grasslands, a move that would make his Kingdom (its name was something like the Black Skulls, and had a skull-and-bones banner similarly to the pirate flags) grow quicker. Chapter 3 - Later Existence As the game progressed, more would happen. Poisontrigger would have a farm be destroyed, and was forced to abandon an entire city. Afterwards, he discovered a desert, but his entire scouting and military force there was wiped out by another tribe, which now had an open gateway to his capital city. Poisontrigger would later quit and later be replaced by another player whos name is lost to history. In the third corner, two notable players both would rule the nation there for a period of time. Fablor9900 would be a player of many early RPs, and was a potential candidate to join Warlords, until he went inactive during the Loria Boom (See History of DF RPs) and missed the creation of the server. He'd later join, but is an extremely inactive player, coming at most every 6 months. (He doesn't join) However, a lot more notably, a player by the name of SenorConejo joined. He was also a relatively unknown player, who had met thecoolkid26 through his library game and through his first game much earlier. RP Wars would go on to seriously interest him, and he made some progress for his corner. TheFoxPlush was still doing good, but as thecoolkid26 took a more serious approach, he overtook him in development. Yet, by this point, the game was already showing signs of dying. TheFoxPlush was slowly playing less, leaving thecoolkid26 as the only really active player, alongside SenorConejo, who had recently joined. With poisontrigger leaving aswell, the lack of players was slowly taking its toll. All the new temporary players didn't really stay on for long, either. They'd play for a few turns before leaving, slowing the game down. thecoolkid26 would later also have a puppet state, who he planned to remove after he had proven to be a nuisance. This player is speculated to be TheGamerNeighbor or Totally_Neko (thecoolkid26's account), but thecoolkid26 has no memory on who it could be. The final deciding factor was when TheLoyalHorse himself increasingly did not want to do RP Wars, being inactive from the game, which eventually made people quit. The official end of RP Wars came when TheLoyalHorse turned all of the land black, leaving it forever gone to history. Chapter 4 - Aftermath The end of RP Wars did not come as a shock to anybody. When it died, it left no impact on anybody except for those who played it. And, thats all it really was for a while. Two interested players, dylan34481 and Bloxhead7, both acquainted with thecoolkid26 and future Warlords players, would come to RP Wars by this point. Now dead, there was not much they could do, but after receiving permission from TheLoyalHorse, they, alongside thecoolkid26, attempted to make a sequel called RP Wars 2, which failed. (See the History of RP Wars 2 for more information) The death of RP Wars 1 would also lead to a "Dark Age" in RP history where no games were made, with the exception of RP Wars 2. After its failure, dylan34481, Bloxhead7, and thecoolkid26 did not pursue RPs anymore. They would not make any games for a while. However, the only other person who would've had the motivation to continue RPs, and also had the ability to do so, decided that a new game must be made. SenorConejo would go on to make Kingdoms, a medieval game that branched on the ideas by RP Wars, and not only gave it a sequel, but also improvement. Kingdoms would go on to inspire more games to be made, in an event known as the "Early Boom" (see the book on that) which culminated into the Lands of Tckia, thecoolkid26's first game. This would later lead to Kingdoms Season 2, and combined, the two games continued the Early Boom until eventually, thecoolkid26 made Afterlife, and from there, the rest is up to another book. The point that is being made here is that RP Wars made RPs what they are, mainly through Kingdoms. Although it is somewhat appreciated today, I think that it is underappreciated for what it really is. The beginning, the genesis of RPs. TheLoyalHorse wouldn't make another RP again. He'd try to make a coded one, but never finish it. I don't think he ever truly understood what he started. Same goes to Kcolyz. Kcolyz would also attempt his first game, and also give up on it. RP Wars is a part of history that isn't really covered in too much detail. Kingdoms has taken the brunt of the popularity. But, I want you to take a moment, perhaps reread the book, and appreciate what this game made. It is rare to see such a small game make a huge impact. I'll leave the rest up to you. For now, have fun. And be sure to read the other books, for this is only the beginning.
