Before the first ever RP, RP Wars, was made, Kcolyz would be the man responsible for giving TheLoyalHorse the idea of RP Wars to begin with. Today, Kcolyz and TheLoyalHorse are both remembered as the Founders of RP games, as without them, the concept would not have existed to begin with. Yet, while TheLoyalHorse made and hosted RP Wars, Kcolyz did not make a game of his own. At one point, however, he decided to make one after seeing RPs evolve into something completely outside his original thoughts, and decided to make one of his own. thecoolkid26 suspects this to be as early as the Loria Boom, or as late as the Civilizations Boom. The game itself was different from the rest, though, and had the simple objective of going back to what Kcolyz believed RPs should've been, an idea that was most visible in RP Wars, and slowly became more distanced as new ideas sprouted. Chapter 2 - Development To make the game, Kcolyz needed a plot, and as he didn't have any rank on DF, he'd rent a plot from SenorConejo to make his game, which he'd called Risky Conquest. The game was then worked on. thecoolkid26 recalls countries being made, and actual code being placed to make the game more organized. It is possible that Kcolyz may have even wanted a semi-coded or a fully coded game, but there is no evidence to support this. Eventually, progress stalled. Kcolyz was never the most active player, and this is most likely why he'd never be the creator of an RP game. After a while of his inactivity, the game officially died with SenorConejo clearing the plot and remaking it into one of his games on the server. Chapter 3 - Legacy Kcolyz's game would never inspire any other games. Nobody really was able to see his ideas, nor was anybody there to play his game because he never released it in the first place. The game faded into obscurity, but today, it could be seen as a symbol of resistance to changing times. Through all of DF's history, when genres boomed or new concepts came around, there was little resistance to them. The resistance that did exist never really went anywhere, and nobody has really been able to change the course of what the community played, except for when a game boom ended or was dying. In short - resistance was futile. Warlords has been one to accept change, though, and it is a place where we can appreciate that resistance to change, because in Warlords, you can resist. Your ideas can be popularized even when other genres are flourishing at the same time. But, thats not the message, because this story, unfortunately, didn't have a happy ending for Kcolyz. His game has become nothing more than a symbol of the old tradition of games dying, a message that can actually be interpreted as important. The old form of developmental games has, with the exception of Kingdoms and other minor games, died out. And the lack of attention Kcolyz received may have impacted his inactivity. So, it may be a short and brief story, but your interpretation may think of it otherwise. Whether it is just a failed attempt from the founder of RPs in your eyes, or a symbol of old RP games dying in the new era, it is up to you to interpret it.
