Chapter 1 -

A Dying Genre

Opposition to DF RPs and other factors led to a decline in the RP genre, starting in the Late Loria Boom and continuing onwards. At the same time, many of the notable RP creators had moved
to Warlords in what is called the Warlords Exodus, and other creators began to stop making RPs. By 2019, RP games were a shell of their former self, losing most of its prevalence in the server. However, one of the longest running games remained alive.


SenorConejo had been among those who left for Warlords, yet he still wished to continue the series that made RPs what they are now. Kingdoms S2, which started in the middle of 2018, had been running for months by the time he had left DF.
Now, it lay mostly abandoned, as most of the players there were either inactive or had gone to Warlords aswell. By the time some player rotations were done, every player was a Warlords member and none truly wanted to return to DF to play a game.

During mid-2019, or June 23rd, 2019, SenorConejo decided it was time to finally decide its fate. It was a possibility to move Kingdoms S2 to Warlords and continue it there, or if the players wished, it
would continue to be played in DiamondFire.

However, nobody wanted the latter. 

So, a poll was put up to decide the fate of Kingdoms. The question read as follows:
"Good evening everyone, today I am here to propose a very difficult decision for us to take; should we restart Kingdoms or continue until there's winners?"

Restarting Kingdoms implies that there would be a new season, whereas continuing it means
that Season 2 would go on. SenorConejo, whom was one of the total of 8 players in Kingdoms, decided to abstain for two reasons - To reduce bias, and to make the vote odd, which would mean that a tie was impossible as long as everybody else voted.
So, among the 7 voters - dylan34481, TheZipCreator, UltraCraftGames, thecoolkid26, PL_ADI, UK_Countryball, and Bloxhead7 (in no particular order), it was decided that, by a vote of 5-2, that Kingdoms Season 2 would formally end.
thecoolkid26 and PL_ADI were among the two that voted against, whilst everybody else voted in favor.

thecoolkid26 protested the vote, mainly because the question itself was worded as if Kingdoms S2 could not be moved to Warlords.
He was already working on the move, and was in the middle of remaking the entire map on Warlords with SenorConejo.

However, there would be no revote. The decision was made. Kingdoms S2 formally came to a close.
Chapter 3 -

Impact

Kingdoms S2's death marked the official beginning of the Dark Age of DF RPs, as it was the last major RP to exist on DF. It would not be the last, others would come afterwards, but
would have a lack of players, be often criticized, and almost never start - those that did quickly died out.

Kingdoms was among the first of DF RPs, and as of now, it seems like it may very well be the last.
In late 2019, Kingdoms S2 was moved to Warlords as a monument, where it can be seen today as a relic of the past. It remains one of the oldest games that hasn't been cleared, being the second oldest preserved game behind Lands of Tckia.
That is where it ends. The end of Kingdoms S2, and thus, the end of DF RPs.
