This is an interview between UltraBigRat (in green) and zipsegv (in purple) discussing the game Nationalized.

UltraBigRat: ahh i remember this

zipsegv: nationalized as it is on the wl2 save

UltraBigRat: mhm

zipsegv: so I like barely remember a lot of shit idk if you remember much more lmao

UltraBigRat: but yes

zipsegv: so

UltraBigRat: the general idea of the game was you were living as a pretty average citizen in this town

zipsegv: yeah so what I remember is like

UltraBigRat: which was pretty restricted (and i think possibly locked down?)

UltraBigRat: with an authoritarian government surrounding it

zipsegv: really stupid dystopian setting that made no sense

UltraBigRat: though the dystopian part of it as far as i remember was kept neatly as a thing in the background that surrounds your actions

UltraBigRat: rather then like

UltraBigRat: the big evil

UltraBigRat: being blatantly obvious

UltraBigRat: the game went like you going to work in a factory

zipsegv: yeah I remember there was like

UltraBigRat: speaking with your coworkers about how things are going and debating with them

zipsegv: a lot of discussion

UltraBigRat: one i remember vividly

UltraBigRat: was debating with a worker on why machines dont take over our work

UltraBigRat: since in the world they canonically could

UltraBigRat: with the general argument given being the economy must flow

UltraBigRat: and afterwards you coudl freely explore and go like shop

UltraBigRat: you had ahouse to do stuff in

UltraBigRat: i think i tried to get a 3d printer

zipsegv: ohh right yeah

zipsegv: so like

zipsegv: did you join at the same time as capy

zipsegv: or did you join later

zipsegv: or before

UltraBigRat: we both interacted i believe in game

UltraBigRat: i think at one point we drove into a ditch here with a car

zipsegv: I remember capy lived with an npc named john

UltraBigRat: and got investigated by the cops

UltraBigRat: with us having something but im not sure what in our pockets

UltraBigRat: that we were trying to hide and failed

UltraBigRat: and i think around that it ended off

UltraBigRat: it was a really good way to do a game honestly especially for the time

zipsegv: honestly I kind of had no idea what I was doing

zipsegv: like I was making shit up as I went

UltraBigRat: yeah and thats completely fine

UltraBigRat: warlords has like no active games right now

zipsegv: I had a conlang around this time called lionek that I just used in everything for some reason

UltraBigRat: because people make giant planned projects

UltraBigRat: and then like

UltraBigRat: dont finish em or run em

UltraBigRat: and then nothing ever happens

zipsegv: well I think I'll be able to host A Continuación like this week probably

UltraBigRat: is that a game name or do you mean a continuation of nationalized?

zipsegv: yeah that's a new game I'm making

zipsegv: idk if you heard

zipsegv: anyway

UltraBigRat: have not

zipsegv: I think nationalized was hosted around 2019?

UltraBigRat: possible

zipsegv: it was 100% before 2020

zipsegv: so like

zipsegv: do you remember any of these events

UltraBigRat: which events

zipsegv: like the ones placed around the map

UltraBigRat: i remember we drove a car into a ditch

UltraBigRat: i dont remember a battle being involved

UltraBigRat: and i dont remember any battles in the game overall

UltraBigRat: there may have been riots but i dont remember

zipsegv: I think capy was sort of involved more with that kind of thing

UltraBigRat: i remember the game overall being pretty peaceful for me

UltraBigRat: mighta been a capy thing yeah

zipsegv: I remember like

zipsegv: the factory being destroyed

zipsegv: in some like riot/battle (or both?) kinda thing

zipsegv: then you got a job at "Asphbox"

zipsegv: which was basically Amazon

UltraBigRat: oh i do recmember something like that here

UltraBigRat: might be terrorists or police or something

UltraBigRat: dont remember what exactly happened though

UltraBigRat: past the walls being busted down

UltraBigRat: the glass represented chat color of the npc btw

zipsegv: yeah I rember that

zipsegv: there was also the like "Reform The Republic" slogan which I think hinted back to a former government that used to be here

zipsegv: and this flag was the "Republic"'s flag or smth like that

UltraBigRat: maybe

UltraBigRat: but yeah thats bout it from what i know

zipsegv: so like

zipsegv: do you think the game was significant in any way

zipsegv: in the larger scope

UltraBigRat: absolutely

UltraBigRat: it was like the next big successful grounded afterlife after al2

UltraBigRat: and so the first one on warlords

zipsegv: wdym by "grounded"

UltraBigRat: as in one where you take the role of an average person rather then a more fantastical character

UltraBigRat: and then live your life basically

zipsegv: was nationalized before or after ascent I honestly don't rember

UltraBigRat: before ascent definetly

UltraBigRat: probably after chains

zipsegv: "between chains and ascent" does maybe narrow down the time a bit but I don't exactly remember when those started being hosted either

zipsegv: capy prob does tho

UltraBigRat: gruhn

UltraBigRat: the warp history book

UltraBigRat: got deleted it seeems

UltraBigRat: with the transfer

zipsegv: was there ever one for chains/ascent?

zipsegv: I transferred all of them over but there wasn't one for that idt

UltraBigRat: it was a whole book i believe

UltraBigRat: and it puts

UltraBigRat: nationalized here on the tree

zipsegv: https://www.mcwarlords.net/wiki/Category:Books

UltraBigRat: tp

zipsegv: cos there's no chains/ascent book there

zipsegv: all the books are in these chests btw

zipsegv: these have been copied to the wiki

zipsegv: we still have the wl2 save so it's possible it's there?

UltraBigRat: yeah cant find anything on it in the wiki

UltraBigRat: mmnghm

zipsegv: so

zipsegv: anything else to mention?

UltraBigRat: dont believe so

zipsegv: alr

zipsegv: I guess that's it then
